The Kingmakers of the Ahanta Baidoo Bonsoe Paramount Stool have declared that no legitimate enstoolment or installation of a new Paramount Chief can take place until the late Otumfuo Baidoo Bonsoe XV is accorded his final burial rites in accordance with Ahanta customs and tradition. The resolution also addresses a settlement of grievances between two divisional chiefs who are kingmakers, pending the final funeral rites of the deceased.

Motorists and commuters on the SCC–Old Barrier stretch of the Kasoa–Mallam Highway are demanding urgent government rehabilitation due to severe deterioration, potholes, collapsed sections, and flooding that have reduced the road to single usable lanes and created severe traffic congestion and safety hazards. The situation has been worsened by wastewater discharge from nearby communities after a drainage channel became silted, with journeys that once took less than two minutes now taking more than 40 minutes during peak periods.

President John Mahama has donated relief items to Mamobi General Hospital and 37 Military Hospital in Accra following the June 29 flood disaster. According to NADMO assessments, the floods resulted in 13 deaths, approximately six persons unaccounted for, and displaced about 58,000 people across Greater Accra and coastal regions; the Finance Minister released GH¢200 million to NADMO to procure relief items being distributed across affected regions.
