The Ghana Gold Board has rejected a claim by Tano North MP Dr Gideon Boako that it owes the Bank of Ghana an unpaid overdraft of about GH¢1 billion, describing the claim as "totally false" and accusing him of a deliberate smear campaign. Boako had questioned GoldBod's reported profit of GH¢907 million, arguing any outstanding liability should be reflected in its financial position.
