The Church of Pentecost provided shelter, food, and clothing to about 500 Ghanaians who fled xenophobic attacks in South Africa, accommodating them for about two months at branches in Johannesburg, Pretoria West, and Kempton Park before Ghana's government evacuated them. Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa praised the church for the humanitarian intervention and its consistent support to Ghanaians facing difficulties abroad.
