Ghana's Education Ministry has renewed warnings against examination malpractice in the ongoing 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), following reports of seven cases involving teachers and invigilators in Central, Bono and Ashanti regions on the first day. Six pregnant girls are among 1,640 candidates writing the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination across eight centres in Anloga District, Volta Region, according to the District Education Directorate. The candidates comprise 827 males and 813 females, with all examination personnel present for the smooth conduct of the examination.
