Driver sentenced 15 years for armed robbery conspiracy

A 28-year-old driver, Thomas Agambaa, has been sentenced to 15 years' imprisonment by the Circuit Court in Accra for conspiring with accomplices to rob his former employer, businesswoman Madam Grace Belkis Azure, at gunpoint in Bolgatanga on June 12, 2022. The court convicted him on charges of conspiracy to commit robbery and robbery after he pleaded guilty with explanation, which the court considered insufficient as a defence but relevant to mitigation.
