The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority denied 4,896 vehicle drivers licences in 2024 due to poor eyesight, including refractive errors, glaucoma, and cataracts. Of 251,117 drivers tested, 218,471 passed, while 32,645 initially failed; 24,483 of those who failed were later granted licences after treatment.
