    The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) chairman Ola Olukoyede said the agency has dismissed more than 40 employees for alleged corruption and financial misconduct over the past three years, with more than five of the dismissed officials already facing prosecution. As part of reforms, the EFCC has renamed its internal affairs department and introduced a gifts and hospitality declaration policy for officers.

    A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the final forfeiture of more than 40 properties linked to former Attorney General Abubakar Malami after finding that respondents failed to rebut reasonable suspicion the properties were acquired through unlawful activities. The judge dismissed several defence motions and relied on the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Fraud Related Offences Act in granting the order, though she vacated the interim forfeiture order in respect of some properties.
