He has directed the formation of an inter-agency task force to present measures for preventing drug trafficking through Ghana's borders within two weeks.

The Ghana Police Service has arrested 36 suspects following the lynching of General Constable Redeemer Owusu in Gindabour, Sawla District, Savannah Region, on September 16, 2026. The officer was killed after a mob attacked police patrolling a highway where a motorbike rider had been found unconscious; the rider subsequently died, prompting the community attack that also injured other officers.

Hawa Koomson, aspiring National Women's Organiser of the NPP, has called for the immediate release on bail of Madam Salomey Baffoe, a 40-year-old nurse remanded in custody over alleged links to the anonymous social media account "Ghana Jollof." Koomson said Baffoe was picked from her home and detained beyond the 48-hour constitutional limit without her charge sheet being served on her defence before court.
