Ghana's banking deposits rise 25% to GH¢334.3bn in 2025
According to the PwC Ghana Banking Survey 2026, total customer deposits in Ghana's banking sector increased by 25 per cent in 2025, from GH¢266.5 billion to GH¢334.3 billion, driven by improved macroeconomic stability, stronger customer confidence, and expanded digital banking adoption. The growth was broad-based across deposit categories, with time and call deposits recording particularly strong increases of 56.8 per cent and 37.5 per cent respectively, reflecting customer response to attractive fixed-term investment products.
