The Ministry of Energy and Green Transition, in partnership with GRIDCo and ECG, has commenced the final phase of upgrading the Kumasi–Anwomaso Transmission Line, replacing a 19-kilometre single-circuit line rated at 364 megawatts with a modern double-circuit line designed to deliver nearly 1,000 megawatts, and installing a new 145 MVA transformer at the Ahodwo Substation.
