Rwanda, DRC reconvene in Geneva for peace accord implementation talks
Officials from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda are meeting in Geneva for talks on implementing the 2025 Washington Accords through the Joint Security Coordination Mechanism, with mediators from the United States, Qatar, Togo and the African Union Commission. The talks come as fighting persists in eastern DRC and key security commitments—including the DRC's obligation to neutralise the FDLR and Rwanda's disengagement of forces—remain unresolved.
