Ghana's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued multiple travel advisories and public warnings in response to regional security concerns. The Ministry condemned xenophobic attacks in South Africa, cautioned citizens about visa overstay penalties in Ethiopia and traffic fines in Togo, warned against using forged immigration documents, and advised suspension of travel to Mali following terrorist attacks that killed the country's Defence Minister.

    Ghana's government has expressed concern over terrorist attacks in Mali that killed the country's Defence Minister and other military personnel and civilians. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued an advisory to Ghanaians in Mali to limit non-essential movements and suspend business activities until further notice.

    Ghana's Foreign Affairs Ministry condemned xenophobic attacks in South Africa and appealed to Ghanaians to avoid retaliatory strikes against South African businesses. Minister Ablakwa summoned South Africa's Acting High Commissioner and urged Ghanaians to show maturity and restraint despite viral reports of attacks on foreign nationals.
