The Luv FM Kel-Charcoal High School Debate competition has advanced to its Round of 16 stage, with seeded schools including defending champions Prempeh College, Kumasi High School, St. Louis SHS and KNUST SHS competing. Judges have noted improved performance from debaters in recent years.

The Luv FM Kel Charcoal Toothpaste High School Debate is holding its seventh edition, bringing together senior high schools across the Ashanti Region to debate pressing national issues including illegal mining, flooding, rising fuel prices, education, corruption and systemic social injustices. Twenty schools have advanced to the main competition to develop research, analytical and public speaking skills while proposing solutions to Ghana's challenges.
Twenty Senior High Schools in the Ashanti Region will compete in the eighth edition of the LUV FM High School Debate, beginning Monday, August 10, 2026, after more than 100 schools participated in preliminary contests across the region.
