The Asantehene has selected Nana Ama Bonsu as the 15th Asantehemaa following traditional consultations, succeeding the late Nana Ama Konadu Yiadom III who reigned for 8 years until her death in August 2025. As Asantehemaa, she will serve as Queen Mother of the Asante Kingdom and advise on matters affecting women and kingdom development.
