The Assembly Member for Akaa Electoral Area in Jasikan Municipality has appealed to the government and telecommunications operators to install a telecommunications mast to address persistent network connectivity problems affecting seven communities in the area. He said weak network signal is a major concern for residents, particularly the elderly and youth who depend on reliable mobile and internet services.

Ghana's Communications Minister says the government negotiated with mobile network operators to increase data volumes and cut prices: MTN raised data by 15 per cent, Airtel and Telecel by 10 per cent. MTN also cut fibre broadband prices by 70 per cent, reducing its 800 Mbps package from GH¢987 to GH¢299 monthly.

Communications Minister Samuel Nartey George says the government's engagements with telecommunications and pay-TV operators have resulted in lower digital service costs, including enhanced DStv packages, increased mobile data volumes, and reductions in fixed broadband prices. He cited examples such as MTN's 15% data volume increase, Telecel and AirtelTigo's 10% increases, and MTN's fibre broadband price reduction of up to 70%.
