Innovative Teachers Union has issued a demand notice threatening legal action over its exclusion from the 2026 Collective Bargaining Agreement negotiations for Ghana Education Service teaching staff. The union argues that although GNAT holds the collective bargaining certificate, Labour Regulations require it to consult or invite other unions representing the same class of workers, and alleges GNAT failed to consult it during the 2020, 2024 and 2026 processes while consulting NAGRAT and PRETAG.
