Ghana abolishes 20% excise duty on locally made fruit juice
The Food and Beverages Association of Ghana has welcomed the abolition of the 20% excise duty on locally manufactured fruit juices, which is expected to take effect from October 1, 2026, following Parliament's passage of a new Excise Duty Act and presidential assent. The Association said the reform would support local value addition, manufacturing, employment creation and economic growth.
