Accra High Court rejects adjournment plea in NPA extortion trial
The Accra High Court has rejected a plea by the lead counsel for Mustapha Abdul-Hamid, former CEO of the National Petroleum Authority, to adjourn his trial on grounds of ill health, exhaustion, and an upcoming bar conference. Abdul-Hamid and seven others are on trial over allegations of extorting monies from players in the petroleum sector, with the court ordering the case management conference to resume the following day.
