Nana Akufo-Addo was honoured by Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at a ceremony marking the monarch's 27-year enstoolment anniversary, receiving a commemorative gold coin award alongside current President Mahama and former President Kufuor for contributions to peacebuilding and national development. The Asantehene's recognition also acknowledged the Akufo-Addo administration's role in initiating the transparent takeover process of the Damang Gold Mine after Gold Fields' 30-year lease expired.
