NRSA calls for arrest of pedestrians ignoring footbridges
The National Road Safety Authority has urged Ghana's police to arrest and prosecute pedestrians who fail to use designated footbridges, with its director-general stating that strict enforcement of road traffic regulations is necessary for pedestrian safety at locations where footbridges exist. The call was made during the launch of the Safe Crossing, Safe Lives campaign in Greater Accra, targeting high-risk areas including Adentan, Madina, Lapaz and Weija.
