A US$28-billion Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Petroleum Hub Development Corporation and an investment consortium led by Global Sphere (UAE) to develop Lot 2 of Ghana's Petroleum Hub project, which will include a 300,000 barrel-per-day refinery, petrochemical plants, storage infrastructure, and a multi-berth jetty within five years, with on-site activities expected to begin in the first quarter of 2027.
