Abraham Norman Nortey, a former SRC President at both the University of Health and Allied Sciences (2019) and University of Cape Coast (2024/2025), has announced his candidacy for the NDC parliamentary primaries in the Domeabra-Obom Constituency ahead of the 2028 general elections. Nortey was the first medical student to lead UCC's SRC and is among few student leaders in Ghana to have served as SRC President at two public universities.

Accra court directs accused to remove mask during trial
A jury at the Accra High Court requested that Safina Adizatu Mohammed remove her nose mask while in the dock because they could not see her face, though she could see theirs.
