The University of Health and Allied Sciences held the second session of its 10th Congregation ceremony in Ho, graduating 1,097 students—967 undergraduate and 130 postgraduate—in health and allied science programmes. The University of Health and Allied Sciences has appealed for increased government support to expand infrastructure, recruit more staff, and introduce new academic programmes, including MSc, MPhil and PhD offerings in Health Data Science, Chemical Biology, and other fields beginning in 2026 and 2027. The university, which began operations in 2012 with 154 students, currently runs 23 undergraduate and 25 postgraduate programmes and graduated 1,097 students at its 10th Congregation.

Residents of Keta Central in the Volta Region have protested against the government's decision to site a 24-hour economy market and a UHAS pharmacy project outside their community, arguing that Keta Central met all criteria to host both projects and that the decision was unfair and politically motivated.
