The National Pensions Regulatory Authority has launched a public education campaign in the Upper West Region urging informal sector workers and small-scale business operators to enrol in pension schemes for financial security in retirement. The NPRA noted that three of every four workers in Ghana are in the informal sector and must take personal responsibility for retirement planning, as they often work beyond the standard retirement age.

President John Dramani Mahama has cut the sod for construction of a seven-storey carpark, two hotels, shopping mall, and sky lounge at Accra International Airport, expected to be completed within 24 months with over 2,000 parking bays.
