JICA Ghana, in partnership with the Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research, WHO, and other partners, trained eight healthcare professionals from six African countries in parasitology, bacteriology, virology, biosafety, and laboratory quality management systems. Since its launch in 2019, the Third Country Training Programme has trained 80 biomedical scientists from West Africa, Central Africa, and other African countries to strengthen regional diagnostics and outbreak response.
