An Accra High Court (Land Division) has struck out a dismissal application by defendants, allowing a suit by property developer Carlos Kwebena Allston over ownership and possession of a property at 17 Abraham Dzani Close, East Legon to proceed. Mr Allston alleges that defendants Mr Perry Okudzeto, Mr Desmond Afeku and Mr Wise Horgli took unlawful possession of a structure on his land, and that Mr Horgli caused his arrest and prosecution for trespass.

The Ghana Leather and Footwear Manufacturers Association says more than 70 percent of footwear sold domestically between 2024 and 2025 was imported from China, with imports worth over US$40 million while local exports remained below US$1 million.
