The government launched the National Urban Policy (2026–2035) and National Slum Upgrading and Prevention Strategy (2026–2035) to address flooding, housing shortages, congestion and unplanned settlements. Five Members of Parliament have reintroduced the Anti-Witchcraft Accusations Bill to criminalise witchcraft accusations, outlaw witchfinders and witch doctors, and strengthen legal protections for victims of such allegations.
